Herefordshire Marches Federation of Academies (HMFA) consists presently of eight academies.
Our project brief was to revamp the existing HMFA logo and to create a new corporate style for all academies, primarily to be implemented upon all websites. A universal brand was devised which allowed flexibility for individual styling within the underlying framework of the identity. So each academy was distinguished through different corporate colours and graphical styling based upon their own school logo. Wilson Design Group were then responsible for the build of all websites, implementing the new corporate style and creating photographic imagery. View below.
This project entailed either a revamp or the complete redesign of individual academy logos, such as the examples opposite. Wherever possible we retained the use of common features such a the style of the motif and typography used within the various logos. The objective being, to keep visual cohesion and connectivity between all member academies within the underlying Multi Academy Trust branding.
The ‘Parent’ Academy Trust site uses more neutral colours of grey and silver to distinguish itself from its member academy sites, which use more colourful tones of the colour spectrum.
The academies of this Multi Academy Trust vary substantially in their size, age of build and their location, from larger city and town schools to those located in small villages surrounded by magnificent views of the Herefordshire landscape. Several days of locational photography were needed to create the images required for all websites. We were also commissioned to get some action shots at one of their annual ‘leisure week’ events. Here is just a flavour of the many photographs taken, always with the greatest consideration given to composition, lighting, vibrancy, colour, depth and expression.
